UK's Techworld reports that MIT scientists have produced a rubberized Linux laptop computer that would sell for about $100.It has a dual display with black-and-white for greater visibility than its color display. This machine would have only a small hard drive, but it would have WiFi and 4 USB ports. It is suggested that this kind of product would be very useful in developing countries.With the proper scale, the price would probably "float down" from a hundred bucks !And yes, WalMart would certainly be interested in selling a billion hundred dollar Linux computers.
