Preznit Bush relates to his staff, colleagues and associates as if he were still president of the frat. It is well known that he has pet names for important folks in his administration (like "Turd Blossom") in the way that the leader of a batch of Greeks might name his subordinate brothers.

When things go wrong, like the time his fraternity, Delta Kappa Epsilon, got caught branding some pledges with a hot coat hanger, he is unfailingly, defensively loyal to the Frathouse. In the same way he has defended those who expose CIA agents, he has excused a former player of his on the Texas Rangers, Rafael Palmiero.

A brother can do no wrong. Bush has ignored the reality of the results of steroid testing in Major League Baseball. Does this affect his credibility ? Historian Robert Dallek says that it does; he calls it "the Nixon Trap."
