Your Deficit at Work

Ali Allawi, Iraq's Finance Minister, tells us that, in one of the largest thefts in history, one billion dollars of Defense aid has been stolen that should have gone to help the fledgling Islamic democracy's army. And that's not all. Five hundred to six hundred million more (from various other ministries) appear to be missing.And this doesn't include big money (perhaps billions) that seems to have disappeared under Paul Brewer's supervision.
