Here is the story of Merlene Maten, a 73 year old grandma arrested in Gretna,LA for stealing $63.50 worth of sausage after the storm. To keep her from skipping town,her bail was set at $50,000!Of course,she couldn't post this kind of money, so she stayed in jail for two weeks.
