Scary news from Reuters about the expected bird flu pandemic: we'll be able to fight it off, but it will take months of work to develop a vaccine. In that time,we don't know how many thousands will be killed !Pandemic refers to an epidemic spread over a wide geographical area, which is what we're already starting to develop.

For thirty-five years, I've been teaching diverse groups of students. I've also earned an MBA that I really haven't used except to move me up a step or two in salary.I've been married for 31 years to my beautiful Marilyn, a clinical social worker. Everywhere she goes things are a little better, a little nicer.We have two children, Claire, a media specialist, and Sam, a new editor at Florida Sportsman magazine.
