Every Mother's Son
Early on in The Art of War, Master Sun advises this strategy to win a battle, "If he is taking his ease, give him no rest." So on this, the 330th day of George Bush's vacation (in the last 5 years)Ms. Sheehan continues to demand a meeting with the commander-in-chief. She has been shunted off to a ditch (now dubbed "Camp Casey" after her son) about 3 miles from Bush's Crawford ranch. She has guts; she will give him no rest.
Cindy Sheehan says she can no longer bear to have leaders like George Bush use the memory of her dead son, or any mother's son to boost their political stance. For this, she has been informed that she will be arrested for some kind of security violation on Thursday. This I've got to see.
Drudge and others have begun to attack her for changing her mind, but hopefully lots of us have also changed our minds about Bush's War. As our founding father Ben Franklin wrote, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." We learned in Vietnam that you get the same result: Quagmire.
